I wasn't available to be at home when the technician said he'd arrive, but he came over anyway and the damage was fixed before I got back.  These folks don't overcharge for unneeded work. How do I test the reversing mechanism on my garage door opener?

Our quick test is to place a 2″ x 4″ board on the ground where your door touches after it closes. If your garage door is operating normally, it will reverse within 2 seconds of hitting the board after you attempt to close it. If your door doesn’t reverse as normal, contact us to have a professional technician come out and fully diagnose the problem.

How often should I do this?

We recommend repeating this process every 3 months to be safe.
